MANX UPLIFTS as the title suggests is an uplift service for Mountain Bikers on the Isle Of Man. After many phone calls and e-mails, Downhill Race series organisers Gareth Fargher and Russell Sansom, together with the backing of The Manx Mountain Bike Club are now able to offer the Isle Of Man its first official Mountain Bike Uplift Service.

The aim is to provide the Downhill riders on the Island with a monthly uplift service giving them a break from pushing their bikes, or squeezing into cars & vans just to get to the top of the tracks to get those all important runs in!!

Its early days at the moment with 30 being the maximum number of riders the service can provide for, but if the numbers increase significantly, then there are options to expand.

We rely on help from generous local businesses & thanks must go to The 4WD Centre, Fairclough & Callow Builders of Ramsey & Pheonix Communications.

With 2 different plantations being used alternitavely, the plan for 2010 is to add another venue to make each uplift different & a fantastic day out 'ripping it up'.
